Athletes of the Month


Girls Soccer

Our Athlete of the Month is Kiara Adams: 

Kiara demonstrates  leader on and off the field and she pushes everyone to do their best when playing. She is an essential to have on our back line for sure. She is always making people laugh and making them feel apart of the team. She has an outstanding work ethic and is always giving one hundred percent out on the field.

Boys Soccer

Our Athlete of the Month is Zackary Lucero:

Zackary Lucero is a teammate that every coach would like to have on any team. He is one of the hardest working players day in and day out. He attends every practice and his attitude has been exemplary. He rises to the challenge and is incredibly supportive and encouraging to others even though at times it may be difficult. He has earned the respect of every player and every coach! I am proud to be his coach.


Michael Saavedra:

Michael Saavedra is an outstanding team leader on and off the field. He demonstrates our core values on a daily basis.  Michael is also an amazing student, he focuses hard in school and he has a drive to do great things on the field and off.


Renata Fuke, 12th grade, Setter from the Varsity Volleyball team for October AOM. Renata leads our team offense playing all-around setting a 5-1. In our 5 set Playoff match last week against N. Medford, Renata had 35 assists, 22 digs, 3 aces, and 1 kill. Renata is a vocal leader for us on the court and has improved her setting and defensive skills immensely in the back-row this season. She is a two year Varsity player, a team captain, has a strong work ethic and keeps her teammates pumped up on the court. Renata was also named 2nd Team All-League Setter this year. Renata has a 4.2 GPA, is in National Honors Society, Student Government and is a youth leader at her church. She works hard on and off the court focusing on her academics in the classroom and is a positive role-model within the Volleyball program.

Cross Country

Max Lin Is XC Athlete of the Month. Max is one of Westview’s top XC and distance runners. He placed in the top 3 for Westview boy finishers in every race this season. Max always runs as hard as he possibly can on race day. The coaching staff can never ask for anymore from him. He gives every last drop. As a team leader and a captain, Max helped to push the other Varsity boys to achieve their best on race days and in workouts. As a 4 year member of XC, the coaching staff appreciates all that Max has contributed to the team with his high integrity and standards. Max finished his senior season by earning 3rd Team All Metro. Well done Max!
